The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange declined 72 points, or 0.4 percent, to 16,846–its lowest closing since June 18–on monsoon concerns, and in line with falling Asian markets, on Wednesday. The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange fell 19 points, or 0.4 percent, to 5,110.Stock markets in Japan, China, Hong Kong, South Korea and Singapore lost between 0.1 percent and 1.4 percent, on global growth concerns.
