The Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark Sensex is down by 233 points to 19344 in noon trade after opening 107 points down today. The 30-share barometer, which shed 17.06 points in yesterday's session, fell by another 106.95 points, to 19,477.36 in the first few minutes of trade today, with IT, metals, auto, consumer durables and banking stocks remaining under pressure.Similarly, the wide-based National Stock Exchange Nifty index slid by 70 points to 5805 points.
