The Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark Sensex, which lost 108 points in the previous session, fell by 97 points, or 0.58 per cent, to 16,615 in opening trade on Monday.In a similar fashion, the wide-based National Stock Exchange Nifty index moved down by 35 points, or 0.70 percent, to 4,982.In the Asian region, Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index fell by 1.02 per cent, while Japan's Nikkei Index shed 1.40 per cent in morning trade on Monday.
