The BSE benchmark index Sensex fell by 59 points in early trade today as investors booked profits after yesterday's gains. The 30-share index, which had gained 82 points in the yesterday's highly volatile session, moved down by 59 to 16,854 points in early trade.Similarly, the wide-based National Stock Exchange index Nifty declined by 13 points to 5,102 points.In the Asian region, while Hong Kong's Hang Seng index went up 0.05 per cent, Japan's Nikkei gained 0.57 per cent in early trade.
