The Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark Sensex which gained 272 points in the previous session was trading 54 points down at 17,076 a short while ago. It had fallen 89 points, in early trade today.The wide-based National Stock Exchange Nifty index stood 33 points down at 5,128 points.Meanwhile, in the Asian region, Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index was down 2.52 per cent, while Japan's Nikkei lost 1.29 per cent in morning trade today. The Dow Jones Industrial Average in the US fell by 4.62 per cent in the previous session on Friday.
