Erasing its initial gains, the BSE benchmark sensex lost 16 points to 20,886 points a short while ago. It gained 58 points in early trade today on sustained capital inflows amid a firming trend in the Asian region.However, the National Stock Exchange index Nifty rose by 7 points to 6,195.
