The Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark index Sensex today lost nearly 118 points in opening trade on increased capital inflows by funds and retail investors, Sensex was trading at 16758, down by over 27 points when report last came in. Similarly Nifty of National Stocks exchange lost over 11 points and was trading at 4972. The Hong Kong's Hang Seng index and Japan's Nikkei were down by almost one per cent in early trade today. The US Dow Jones Industrial Averaged ended 0.90 per cent down in yesterday's trade.
