Sensex down 111 points in noon trade

The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange was trading 111 points down at 20,554 points a shortwhile ago. It declined 183 points in early trade today, as funds and retail investors engaged in reducing positions amid a weakening rupee. The 30-share barometer had lost 573 points in the past four sessions. Stocks of banking, realty, capital goods, metal, auto, oil and gas sectors were the major losers that dragged down the Sensex.Similarly, the National Stock Exchange index Nifty was also trading 41 points down at 6,098 points a shortwhile ago.
