The Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark Sensex is trading in red in the afternoon trade today. The Sensex was trading at 16,912 down by 96 points when reports last came in. It dipped below 17,000 points level losing over 101 points in opening trade. Analysts say the fall is due to on selling by foreign funds amid weak global trends. Heavy selling by domestic mutual funds also impacted the sentiment.Similarly, the wide-based National Stock Exchange index Nifty fellby 25 points to 5,037.
