Despite strong industrial growth numbers, the sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange fell 104 points, or 0.6 per cent, to 17,423, on Tuesday. The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange dropped 39 points, or 0.7 percent, to 5,210. Stock markets in Japan, China, Hong Kong, South Korea and Singapore ended mixed. Gold rose 50 rupees, to 17,300 rupees per ten grams in Delhi. The rupee depreciated 38 paise, to 45.72 against the dollar. And crude oil futures slipped 79 cents, to 81.73 dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
