Extending its losing streak, the BSE Sensex today declined over 53 points in early trade on sustained selling by funds after weak cues from CPI and IIP data.The 30-share index fell by nearly 54 points, to nearly 20,228 in first five minutes of trading.Similarly, the wide-based National Stock Exchange Nifty fell by nearly 20 points, to over 5,998.
