Sensex declines by 199 points

Falling for the third straight session, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange declined 199 points , or 1.2 percent, to 16,162, on Friday, on continued weakness in the global stock markets, on a grim growth outlook in the US, and debt troubles in Europe. The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange lost 56 points, or 1.1 percent, to 4,868.Stock markets in China, Hong Kong, South Korea and Singapore fell between 0.4 percent and 5.7 percent.
