The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange rose 137 points, or 0.8 per cent, to 17,324 in opening trade this morning on continued buying by funds and retail investors.Later, the Sensex remained firm, and stood 125 points, or 0.7 percent in the green, at 17,312 in afternoon trade.Stock indices in Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea, Indonesia and Singapore were trading mixed.
