Snapping two days of gains, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange closed with a modest loss of 34 points, or 0.2 percent, at 18,232, on profit-booking on Monday. The Sensex had gained more than 400 points in the last two trading sessions. The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange dropped 3 points, 0.1 percent, to 5,473. Stock markets in Japan, China, Singapore, Hong Kong, and South Korea ended mixed.
