The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange closed with a small loss of 14 points, or 0.1 per cent, at 17,527, after profit-booking erased initial gains, today. But the Nifty at the National Stock Exchange managed to rise 5 points, or 0.1 percent, to 5,249. Stock markets in China, Hong Kong and Singapore rose about 0.5 percent, each.
