The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange ended the day with a moderate loss of 21 points, or 0.1 percent at 17,098, amid rising inflation. The broad-based NSE Nifty fell 12 points, or 0.2 percent to close at 5,106.BSE Midcap index fell 0.6 percent, and Smallcap index was down 0.4 percent.
