Amidst volatile session the Indian stock markets ended the day with a moderate gains after some profit-taking in late session cut some of its early gains. The Sensex at the Bombay stock exchange ended 15 points higher at 17185.Healthcare, metal and realty stocks were among the gainers while auto stocks saw some profit-taking after strong recent gains. However the broader markets recorded higher gains as the BSE Midcap index gained 25.87 points to close at 6613.55. Nifty was also up by 8.45 points to close at 5131.70.
