The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange closed 72 points, or 0.4 percent higher, at 18,585 on Wednesday. The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange rose 24 points, or 0.4 percent, to 5,565.Stock markets in Japan, China, Hong Kong, South Korea and Singapore ended mixed.
