The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange closed with a spectacular gain of 623 points, or 3.5 percent, at 18,447, today, as investors cheered the finance minister's growth-oriented budget. The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange zoomed 189 points, or 3.5 percent, to 5,522 points.
