Snapping two days of gains, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange closed with a small loss of 16 points, or 0.1 percent, at 18,513, after volatile trade, today. The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange fell 10 points, or 0.2 percent, to 5,541. Stock markets in Japan, China, and Singapore posted modest gains of between 0.3 percent and 0.6 percent.
