The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange rose 92 points, or 0.6 per cent, to 15,906 in opening trade, this morning, on continued buying by investors, in line with positive regional markets.Later, after paring its gains for a while, the Sensex moved up again, and stood 82 points, or 0.5 percent in positive territory, at 15,895, in afternoon deals, a short while ago. The 30-share Sensex has already rallied more than 630 points in the past two trading sessions.Other Asian markets in China, Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong, and South Korea were up by between 0.4 percent and 2 percent, today, after the release of encouraging data on the US jobs market. Over in the US, the Dow Jones Industrial Average had gained 0.5 per cent, overnight.
