Maintaining the downward trend, the Sensex at the Bombay StockExchange was trading over 50 points in the negative territory inafternoon trade today.It was trading 56 points in the red at 15,671 when reports last camein. After losing more than 240 points in the past two tradingsessions, the 30-share index had lost over 72 points in the first fiveminutes of trade today. The fall was due to sustained selling byfunds, amid a weakening trend on other Asian bourses. In a similar fashion, the wide-based National Stock Exchange Niftywas trading 22 points in the red at 4,683.
