Senior officials of Union Home Ministry & Special DG CRPF arrive in Srinagar to take stock of security situation

The senior officials of the Union Home Ministry and Special DG CRPF arrived in Srinagar today to take stock of the overall security situation in the aftermath of yesterday's deadliest militant attack on CRPF convoy on Srinagar Jammu national highway in Pampore area of south Kashmir's Pulwama district.<br/><br/>Eight CRPF personnel including sub inspector were killed the attack at Pampore besides injuring around two dozen personnel. Two attackers were also killed in the shootout. Militant outfit Lashkar e Tayyeba had claimed the responsibility.<br/><br/>Earlier, during the day floral wreaths were laid on the mortal remains of the eight personnel killed in the attack. The ceremony was attended by chief minister Mehbooba Mufti, several state cabinet ministers, top brass of all security agencies and officers from civil administration.
