Senior officials of India and African continent meet in Delhi ahead of 3rd IAFS

Senior officials of India and 54 countries of the African continent are now meeting in New Delhi ahead of third India Africa Forum Summit, IAFS. AIR correspondent reports Foreign Ministers of the participating countries will meet tomorrow to finalize the agenda of the summit. <br/><br/>Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the summit on Thursday. Heads of State and Representatives of all African countries are attending. On the sidelines of the Summit, the Prime Minister will hold bilateral meetings with the Heads. Elaborate security arrangements have been put in place for the Summit. <br/><br/>In the Mann Ki Baat programme, Prime Minister Narendra Modi yesterday said the Summit will review the scope of India's relations with Africa on bilateral, regional and continental levels. Mr Modi said, discussion on several economic, cultural and political issues like green technology, blue economy, education, healthcare and peace and security will take place. <br/><br/>During the Summit, Indian companies will explore the possibilities of investment in African countries while seeking business for Make in India initiative. There is 70 billion dollar trade between India and African countries. India and Heads of the African countries will also share concern over the growing terrorism and defence cooperation.
