Senior Indian Information Service officer Sitanshu Kar today took over as Director General (News) of All India Radio. Prior to his current posting, Mr Kar was serving as the Principal Spokesperson of the Ministry of Defence. He also worked in different media units including Doordarshan and PIB under Information and Broadcasting Ministry in various capacities.
