A team of senior CBI officials today met Maharashtra Chief Secretary J P Dange in Mumbai seeking information in connection with the Adarsh Housing Society scam. The three-member team, led by CBI Regional Joint Director Rishi Raj Singh, met Dange at the state secretariat. Speaking to the reporters Mr Singh said that they met the chief secretary to seek certain documents from various departments of the state government like MMRDA, urban development, BEST, revenue and environment. Singh said that the chief secretary has assured full cooperation and said the documents would be submitted to them at the earliest. According to CBI sources, the team will also probe the role of serving and retired state government officials in the scam.Meanwhile, deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar said that stern action would be taken against those government offcials whose name appears in the CBI chargesheet.
