Senior BJP leader and Lok Sabha member from Kairana, Hukum Singh has passed away in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, this evening. The 79-year old Parliamentarian was reportedly suffering from breathing problems. His last rites will be performed tomorrow.<br/><br/>Singh was an MLA in Uttar Pradesh for seven terms and a Minister in the state before entering the Lok Sabha in the<br/>2014 polls. <br/><br/>Prime Minister Narendra Modi has condoled the death of Hukum Singh. In a tweet, Mr Modi said he is anguished by the demise of veteran leader Hukum Singh Ji. The Prime Minister said that the MP served the people of Uttar Pradesh with great diligence and worked for the welfare of farmers. He said his thoughts are with his family and supporters in this hour of grief.<br/><br/>BJP President Amit Shah and Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya have also expressed sorrow over passing away of Hukum Singh. Mr Shah said Singh's demise was an irreparable loss for the party.
