Shiv Sena today highly condemned the cover page picture and an article on the latest issue of weekly political magazine Tehelka in which it compared the founder of the party Balasaheb Thackeray to terrorists like Yakub Memon and Tiger Memon. Expressing concern over the matter in today's editorial in its mouth piece Saamna, Shiv Sena alleged the magazine, which is in a bad state for various criminal cases filed against its editor, published this article with an aim to seek public attention.

The editorial said however the tactics adopted by the magazine to get public attention would not be successful as Balasaheb's stature is too high to get impacted by such articles. Shiv Sena held agitations yesterday in Mumbai and Thane demanding an unconditional apology from Tehelka editor.

Senior Shiv Sena leader and Maharashtra cabinet minister Eknath Shinde said that the party would intensify its agitation if the editor fails to apologise. Raj Thackeray led Maharashtra Navnirman Sena had also swung in to action against the magazine and filed complaint against Tehelka on Sunday and demanded ban on it.
