A 3-day national seminar on location specific weather forecast began in New Delhi on Monday to give a thrust for development and implementation of a 24X7 monitoring and nowcasting system in India.An official release said that speakers in the conference opined that technology driven system of monitoring and nowcasting is the need of the hour. It will minimize the loss of invaluable lives and also property. The conference is also discussing the ways to improve the accuracies of monitoring and forecasting of high impact weather events.
