In the Kashmir valley, security forces eliminated a self styled commander of Lashkar-e-Taiba in an encounter near Sopore on Monday. The joint operation by Rashtriya Rifles and State police, the Lashkar commander Talha Chacha was killed in Rabbon village eight kilometres from Sopore town. Police sources say that the slained ultra was involved in various violent incidents in the area and his killing is a major success for the security forces.
