In Bihar, adequate security arrangements have been made to deal with Naxal threats during the sixth and final phase of elections in 26 Assembly constituencies on Saturday. State Director General of Police Neelmani told AIR that 18 out of 26 constituencies are Naxal affected. He said all booths in this phase will be manned by jawans of central para-military forces.AIR Patna correspondent reports, poll timing in Naxal affected constituencies will be from 7 am to 3 pm. In other constituencies polling will end at 5pm. Director General of Police said that every thing has been done to ensure that the Reds get no advantage during the polling.Meanwhile, the Deputy Election Commissioner Vinod Zutshi today reviewed election preparedness with DMs and SPs of Rohtash, Kaimur and Buxar districts of the state. Four Maoists were arrested in Munger district after fierce gun battle with security personnel during combing operation. Two Maoists were injured in this gun battle. The arrested extremists were involved in Kajra( Lakhisarai) incident. In another incident Gaya police arrested two hardcore Maoists along with their weapons.
