In Jammu & Kashmir, all befitting security arrangements are being put in place across Kashmir valley ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's public rally on Saturday in Srinagar. The frisking operations of all types of public and private transport have been intensified for the past couple of days in summer capital and elsewhere in Valley. Security forces and Police are conducting surprise security checks to prevent any untoward incident ahead of the event and also during PM's visit. Barricades have been erected on highways and all the entry and exit points of the summer capital Srinagar. <br/><br/>The motorists and pedestrians are being stopped and searches conducted and their identities ascertained. Dozens of CCTV cameras, sniffer dogs, mobile surveillance bunkers and drop gates are being put in place to ensure safety for the November 07 public rally. A team of SPG (Special Protection Group) has taken over the security arrangements at Sher-e-Kashmir cricket stadium, the venue of the rally. Police is closely monitoring social networking websites to keep a close watch on those spreading slogans in favour of 'Srinagar Million March', on Facebook, Twitter or through WhatsApp. This will be PM Modi's first rally in Kashmir Valley after Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and BJP alliance assumed power in the state on 1st March this year.<br/>Meanwhile, continuing with the clampdown to foil Syed Ali Geelani's 'Srinagar Million March' the authorities last night took prominent woman separatist leader Asiya Andrabi and around her six activists into preventive custody. Prominent separatist leaders including Yasin Malik, Shabir Shah and several 2nd rung separatists of both Hurriyat (G) and JKLF have been put in preventive custody. Octogenarian Geelani continues to be under house detention since he returned from Delhi this April.
