In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, the security has been tightened ahead of the Republic Day. AIR Jammu Correspondent reports that high alert has been issued from the International Border (IB) to the Line of Control (LoC). In all the districts, the police have put up nakas for checking of vehicles at many places. On the other hand, BSF jawans posted on the India-Pakistan border were put on high alert after being threatened by anti-social elements. Inspector General BSF, DK Bura said that strict vigil is already being done on the border for two weeks. Apart from this, the soldiers have started an anti-tunnel operation along the International Border in Jammu. He said that BSF is ready to face all challenges and thwart every nefarious plan.<br />''<br />'' There are inputs that anti-national elements can create disturbances on the occasion of Republic Day. However, ADG Police, Jammu Division, Mukesh Singh reviewed the security arrangements due to Republic Day celebrations and ordered the checking of vehicles and people coming from outside. The main function of Republic Day will be held at Maulana Azad Stadium, Jammu where Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha will take the salute of the march past. The security arrangements have been tightened around the venue of the ceremony. DDC chairpersons will be the chief guests at the functions in their respective districts and Advisor to LG R R Bhatnagar will preside over the function at Sher-e-Kashmir Stadium, Srinagar. <br />
