<br/>Security has been tightened across the country in view of festival of colours, Holi tomorrow. The festival signifies the arrival of spring, end of winter and the beginning of the summer. On the eve of Holi, Holika Dahan will be taking place this evening. Effigies of Holika, the devil minded sister of demon King Hiranyakashyap are placed at several places for lighting of the bonfire called Holika. Adequate police forces have been deployed at important locations like railway stations, bus stands and other public places. In some parts of the country like West Bengal, the festival is being celebrated today as Vasant utsava.<br/><br/> In Delhi, police has issue advisory to people asking them to play Holi responsibly. Services of the Delhi Metro will shut till 2 pm tomorrow.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, the Uttar Pradesh Administration has announced that colors will not be allowed after one PM. Unprecedented security arrangements have been made for ensuring peace during celebration of festival across the state. AIR Lucknow correspondent reports; at sensitive areas magistrates and police officers have been deployed to maintain law and order.
