Government has said, the security threat to the country form Left Wing Extremism (LWE) is receding. It said, the overall situation in LWE-affected states including Jharkhand, Bihar and West Bengal is well under control. <br/><br/>In a written reply in the Lok Sabha today, Minister of State for Home, Hansraj Gangaram Ahir said, the violent incidents have also declined 20 per cent in the month of February, 2017 as compared to corresponding period last year. He said, the death in such incidents have also decreased by six percent. <br/><br/>He said, the Central government has been pursuing a multi-pronged strategy to deal with the LWE, centred around security measures, developmental intervention and ensuring rights and entitlements of local communities.
