The Jammu and Kashmir Governor, Mr. N. N. Vohra has reviewed the security arrangements for the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Yatra at a high level meeting held under his chairmanship at Raj Bhavan, Jammu yesterday. The Governor stressed the need for constantly reviewing and strengthening the security arrangements at the Bhawan complex and all along the track from Katra, the base camp of the pilgrimage, particularly in view of the likely rush of the Yatris during the ensuing holy Navratras and thereafter. The meeting discussed various aspects of the security arrangements and took the required decisions.Chief Executive Officer, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, Mr. Raj Kumar Goyal senior officers of the Security and Intelligence agencies and civil administration participated in the meeting. Governor, who is the Chairman of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, had also inspected the security arrangements for the Yatra from Banganga to the Holy Cave recently.
