Security of Indians in Afghanistan being increased

New Delhi today said that the security of all Indians in Afghanistan is being increased in the wake of recent attack targeting Indians in Kabul but there is no question of dilution of India's role in the development of the war ravaged country.

Sources said that India is building up its stakes in Afghanistan through people oriented programmes like reaching out to various sections of Afghan society through developmental projects. Sources said that the Kabul attack has shown that LeT is steadily expanding its reach and needs to be fought at the international level.

Denying reports that India is opening channels in Taliban, sources made it clear that India is not reaching out to them pointing out that Taliban are antagonist forces which are in the dark side of the history.

Sources said that it is too early to take a stand on the issue when the military campaign by the US-led forces is underway and there is conflict like situation. On the role of Pakistan in the reconciliation, the sources said that US is very clear that the process of stability in Afghanistan is not outsourced to Pakistan.
