Security issues top on agenda for Chidambaram during UK visit

Security related issues will top the agenda of the talks during the Home Minister's three day visit to the United Kingdom. Mr. Chidambaram who is leaving for UK this evening will hold talks with top British officilas, besides meeting key security and intelligent experts. During the visit, Mr Chidambaram will discuss issues relating to security with the Home Secretary Alan Johnson, Foreign Secretary David Miliband and the British Prime Minister’s Foreign Policy Adviser Simon Mcdonald. He will also familiarise himself with the functioning of some key British institutions relating to security and intelligence matters. These include the Metropolitan Police Service, the Detica Operations Centre, the Secret Intelligence Service and the GCHQ which is one of the three intelligence agencies of the UK. The Union Home Minister will return to Delhi on Wednesday.
