In Uttar Pradesh, an alert has been sounded across the state and security has been intensified in and around all vital installations in view of the pronouncement of verdict by the Lucknow Bench of Allahabad High Court on Ayodhya title suit on Thursday. Additional civil and police officers are being deployed at sensitive places including Allahabad High Court and its Lucknow bench premises. Administrations in all the districts are directed to ensure that anti-social elements do not disturb law and order situation on the pretext of this sensitive issue.<br/>AIR Lucknow correspondent reports that security of the three High Court judges had already been tighten in view of the verdict. About 20 personnel of PAC and five CRPF personnel have been deployed at residence of all the three judges. They have been also provided an escort and pilot car and one PSO. A DSP rank officer has been made in charge of the judge's security. Borders with adjoining Nepal and Uttarakhand have been sealed and a strict vigil was being maintained on all those coming to the state from these sides. As a preventive measure, all liquor and firecrackers shops will remain closed on Thursday. Flag march by the security forces are taking place at most of the sensitive areas and prohibitory orders had been issued.<br/>Law enforcing agencies are directed to keep eyes on all historical, religious and social building and monuments. About 25 districts of the stat including Agra, Allahabad, Aligarh, Azamgarh, Bareilly, Beharaich, Bulandsahar, Gonda, Gorakhpur, Kanpur, Meerut, Moradabad, Mau, Varanasi, Faizabad, Mathura, Bijnore, Muzaffarnagar and state capital Lucknow have been identified as sensitive and hyper sensitive and special precautions have taken in these districts.<br/>AIR correspondent reports that Centre has provided about 54 companies of central Paramilitary to the state for security purposes. Additional forces are already deployed in and around at disputed site in Ayodhya and the Allahabad High Court for their security. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati has appealed to the people of the state to maintain peace in view of the coming Allahabad High Court verdict on Ayodhya title suit.<br/>Meanwhile, the Allahabad High Court has made a separate arrangement to make available judgment of the court. A special website www.allahahabdhighcourt.in/ayodhyabench.html is being made by the court on which gist of the issues, operational part of the court order and final judgment will be available. Copy of the judgment will be provided to media at collectorate campus at Lucknow where a media centre is set up. The High Court registrar advised clearly the media persons not to speculate about the judgment before they receive the copy of verdict or the operational part of the judgment. In a statement issued at Lucknow, he has said only the contestant parties and their lawyers would be allowed to enter the courtroom on special passes issued to them by the court administration where the special bench was to pronounce the verdict. He has said, no staff-members except directly associated with proceedings of the court will be allowed entry into the court room where judgment to be pronounced. He has said mobile phones will not be allowed inside the court room. He has requested advocates not to come to the court premises if they don’t have listed mater.<br/>Security forces are on the streets and all other important locations in the twin cities of Ayodhya and Faizabad. Entry points to the twin cities are also under vigilance. The superintendent of police A K Rai told AIR correspondent this afternoon that situation is normal in the town. He said that the district administration and police officers reviewed the security arrangements and situation in the twin cities in a meeting today.<br/>In Madhya Pradesh, security has been tighten up across the state in view of upcoming Ayodhya verdict. AIR Bhopal correspondent reports that the state government has also asked the citizens to maintain peace and calm.<br/><br/>Elaborate security arrangements have been made by police in Kerala as a precautionary measure ahead of the pronouncement of verdict on the Ayodhya title suit case by Allahabad High Court on Thursday. According to Police, over 30,000 police personnel including rapid action, anti-sabotage and strike forces and bomb squad would be deployed from midnight tonight across the state. Prohibitory orders under the Kerala Police Act have already been issued for the next two days in Kozhikode, Kannur and Alappuzha districts.<br/>A high-level meeting of officials, police top brass will be held later in the evening to review the situation.<br/>High Alert is sounded in Karnataka in the event of Ayodhya verdict on Thursday. Prohibitory order under section 144 till October 2 midnight is clamped. Schools and Colleges will remain closed on Thursday and day after. More than 50,000 civil police, 200 platoons of Karnataka Reserve Police and 12000 Home Guards will be deployed from Thursday morning to the day of Gandhi Jayanthi on October 2nd. Chief Minister Yeddyurappa has appealed to people to maintain peace and harmony and Home Minister R Ashoka has said that he is in constant touch with District Police superintendents and suspects are rounded off.<br/>Maharashtra government has taken extra security measures to tackle any adverse situation arising out of the Ram Janma Bhoomi- Babri Masjid verdict on Thursday. Chief Minister Ashok Chavan has asked his ministers to monitor the situation in their respective areas. Security has been stepped up, and closed circuit television cameras have been set up outside the RSS headquarters in Nagpur. Adequate security has been mounted outside important places of worship in Mumbai and suburbs of the city. Besides sensitive pockets in Mumbai and other cities, police will remain on high alert in some sensitive cities and towns of the state like Aurangabad, Nashik, Malegaon, Bhiwandi. Maharashtra’s Chief Secretary, Mr. J P Dange has informed that about 2.5 lakh security personnel have been deployed across the state, including eight companies of CRPF, members of Rapid Action Force and the newly-formed Force-one along with 25,000 Home Guards. Meanwhile Maharashtra’s Home Minister, Mr. R R Patil has appealed for peace and calm.<br/>In Bihar, security has been tightened across the state to prevent any untoward incident in view of the impending verdict on the Ayodhaya dispute title suit to be delivered on Thursday. AIR Patna correspondent reports that with the six-phase Assembly elections scheduled from October 21, the state government is taking no chance. All the district magistrates have been put on alert and asked to hold peace meetings with religious leaders. A core team of IAS and senior police officers have been formed to keep a close watch on the law and order situation and pass necessary orders to contain any flare up or rumours on religious lines.<br/>Security has been tighten in Gujarat and all police commissioners and district superintendents have been directed to stay on guard ahead of the court verdict on the Ayodhya land issue. According to the official sources, the steps have been taken in the backdrop of the Central advisory to states, particularly sensitive states like Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Karnataka, to give top most priority.
