Security in Bihar tightened to control maoists' activities

In Bihar security has been further tightened in view of maoist attack on railway properties. Outlawed Maoists blew up railway tracks at Munger and Jamui within two days. AIR Patna correspondent reports that a massive combing operation is on in sensitive areas of the state to counter maiost activities. The state authorities have instructed to maintain extra vigil during night to avert untoward incidents. The GRP and the RPF posts located at vulnerable areas have been put on high alert. Additional companies central para-military forces have been deployed in the Maoist-hit areas to assist the district armed police. All police stations in the affected districts including Gaya , Jehanabad, , Aurangabad , Jamui and Munger have been put on maximum alert to meet any eventuality. Extra attention is being paid to protect vital installations,including, government schools and buildings, which are considered to a soft-target for the ultras.
