Security forces stage flag march in Ayodhya ahead of verdict

In Uttar Pradesh, security forces today staged a flag march at Ayodhya and in other parts of Faizabad district with the Allahabad High court set to pronounce its verdict on Ayodhya title suit on next Friday.The flag march was held to maintain peace and instill confidence among the common men.AIR Lucknow correspondent reports the security forces comprised central Para military forces, state police and Provincial Armed Constabulary and mounted police with all equipment and weaponry at their disposal.About 60 companies of security forces including 10 companies of central forces, 10 companies of PAC and 40 companies of state armed police besides 5000 home guards and one thousand constables were deployed in this sensitive district.Local administration claimed that the purpose of flag march was to warn the miscreants and anti-social elements and maintain harmony in twin towns of Ayodhya and Faizabad. The flag march conducted a day after the special bench of Allahabad High Court refused an application to defer the date of verdict.
