Home Minister P. Chidambaram today said the security forces are prepared to tackle any terrorist threats to the country. <br/>He was talking to reporters after inaugurating 22 new police stations in the national capital. Reacting to queries about intelligence inputs about possible terrorist attacks during the ongoing festive season, Mr. Chidambaram said the security forces have increased their level of preparedness. <br/>The Home minister asserted that the response from the security agencies will be swift and decisive to thwart any attack. Chidambaram said the centre is taking steps to strengthen the intelligence network of the country and there is no need to panic. <br/>The Home Minister also asked the Delhi Government to conduct large scale awareness programmes to involve the people of the city for the forthcoming Commonwealth games. <br/>
