In Assam, security forces have launched massive operation against the anti-talk faction of the National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) militants after its latest attack on SSB personnel on the Indo-Bhutan border. Four SSB personnel, including two officers were killed in the attack on Monday. Meanwhile, security forces busted a militant camp at Panjuri under Dokmoka police station in Karbi Anglong district. According to Army sources today, four hardcore cadres of the NDFB outfit were sheltering in the camp during a joint operation. An hour-long exchange of firing took place before busting the militant camp. However, all the four NDFB outfit members managed to flee from the spot taking advantage of dense forest. The security sources claimed that two of them were injured during the encounter. Police later recovered one launcher, several grenades and 55 rounds of AK-47 ammunition besides six rounds of 303 rifle ammunition. Extortion money receipt books and a book containing constitution of the NDFB outfit were also found in the camp during the search operation.
