In Jammu and Kashmir, Security Forces on Wednesday achieved a major success by gunning down two dreaded Pakistani militants of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) outfit in a fierce day-long gun battle but lost a Special Police Officer (SPO) in Doda district of Jammu Division. According to official sources acting on a tip off, Police in association with Army and CRPF launched a joint search operation in Upper Joura area of Gandoh of Doda district. As soon as the contact was established with the militants the militants opened indiscriminate firing, which was followed by grenade attacks. The gunfight continued for several hours and led to the killing of two dreaded militants. However, one Special Police Officer (SPO) identified as Barkat Ali also lost his life while fighting the militants. <br/>
