In Assam, security forces have gunned down 3 militants of banned outfit National Democratic Front of Bodoland (Sangbijit faction ) in Sonitpur district. Official sources in Guwahati said that the encounter occurred at Rangapara area .Cadres of the banned outfit attacked a police party and in retaliation, three militants were gunned down. Police and CRPF forces are still searching in the area. Assam police held this militant group responsible in the recent violence in Baksa and Kokrajhar district.
