In Kashmir Valley, police and security forces killed a militant of Hizbul Mujahideen at village Puchal in Pulwama district. A joint operation was launched on a tip off and in the ensuing encounter local militant Shakoor Teli was killed. The house in which the militant was hiding also got damaged. One AK 47 rifle with several rounds of ammunition were recovered from the encounter site. In border district of Kupwara Army eliminated three militants in an ongoing operation in Keran sector Wednesday. The operation was launched after an infiltration bid last week during which three army personnel laid down their lives while fighting infiltrators.
