In Assam, security forces killed four Dimasa National Revolutionary Front, DNRF militants early this morning in Dima Hasao district. Security forces also arrested one militant of NSCN (Issac-Muivah) faction. Official sources said that acting on a tip off, Assam Police and Army launched a joint operation at Mailoo village under Langting police station of the district and killed the militants after a gun battle. Three AK-47 rifles, ammuniations and grenades were also recovered from the militants. Senior police officials have rushed to the spot.
