Security forces gun down three LeT terrorists in J&K

Security forces gunned down three Lashkar-e-Toiba terrorists on Thursday in an encounter in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir. According to Army Spokesperson Col. Arora, acting on specific information about the presence of ultras in village Marha falling in forest area of Tehsil Surankote , Army and Police launched joint search operations to track down them about three days back. When the search party zeroed on the hiding terrorists on Thursday morning, they started indiscriminate firing in which one Army jawan got injured. After a heavy exchange of gunfire for about 7 hours, the forces ultimately succeeded in killing three ultras. According to police, the slain militants, two of whom have been identified as Abu Ali and Abu Usmaan, are Pakistani nationals. These ultras had been operating in the area for three years. A huge quantity of arms and ammunition has been recovered from the encounter site.
