In Jammu and Kashmir security forces foiled an infiltration bid from across the border in Akhnoor subsector of Jammu region today.<br/><br/>AIR correspondent Yogesh reports from Jammu that around 0300 hrs, the troops of Border Security Forces (BSF) observing some movement near the Sidharwal border outpost of Pargwal area along the Indo-Pak International Border, challenged the intruders who opened fire on the troops. <br/><br/>The BSF personnel retaliated the firing. After heavy exchange of fire from both the sides that lasted for half an hour, the troops ultimately succeeded in pushing back the infiltrators, whose number could not be ascertained due to intense fog in the area. A massive search operation has been launched by the BSF in the area as a precautionary measure.
