In Kashmir valley, security forces in a joint operation eliminated five militants from forests of Tral in Pulwama district today. Acting on a tip-off, Army assisted by Special Operations Group of J & K Police cordoned Dodakulan forest area and in the ensuing gun battle, all the five hiding militants were killed. Mr S A Watali, DIG Police South Kashmir told AIR that the slain militants belong to Hizbul Mujaheddin and there was no collateral damage in the operation.
